La Quesería de Ozuluama
About This Spot
Stepping into La Quesería de Ozuluama is like entering a warm corner of Veracruz, nestled amid the bustling streets of Moderno Apodaca. It’s a relaxed, no-frills spot where the rhythm is steady and unhurried, inviting you to slow down and savor each moment. The modest setting hums quietly with life—a mix of friendly chatter, the clink of plates, and the subtle aromas of freshly made dishes that tell stories rooted in tradition.
Here, the focus is genuinely on the food and the simple joy of sharing it. The atmosphere feels welcoming for everyone, whether you’re dropping in for a comforting breakfast or gathering with family in the evening. There’s a grounded authenticity in how the flavors arrive at your table—made with care, fresh ingredients, and a sprinkling of nostalgia from Veracruz’s culinary heritage. The experience centers around cheese in various delightful forms, from tender empanadas to playful platters that invite tasting and slow conversation. Drinks like hibiscus water or café de olla lend a refreshing and familiar touch, complementing dishes that are flavorful without pretense.
What emerges most is a sense of connection—to the place, the people, and the food itself. It’s a spot where the air conditioner may struggle but the warmth of the kitchen and the sincerity of the service fill in the gaps. La Quesería stands as a comfortable, authentic local refuge for those who appreciate honest, fresh Mexican flavors and the kind of meals that linger as happy memories long after the plate is cleared.

Would you like try food from Veracruz? This is the place...the authentic taste of Veracruz. The cuisine is not gourmet but fresh food. The place is modest, a little messy and the air conditioner does not work well. So it’s hot there. But the food and view is worth it. They have fresh hibiscus water that’s very delicious. La Quesería De Ozuluama is for cheese lovers!! The bonus is really good prices for very delicious food! BTW.. Fresh tortillas made from scratch. Price $$ They welcome people with disabilities. Location: 3rd floor. You have to use the elevator or stairs (not bad). Next to Holiday Inn Apodaca.

Actually very good food, the café de olla is on spot and cheese empanadas are awesome. Their selection of cheeses is not super big, but the ones they have are fresh and tasty.

They have a great food, some ingredients are original from the town of Ozuluama, Ver. This is a new fancy location, very recommended for the whole family. As very rare I'll give you 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐

honestly, in the last two years I have visited this place for my breakfast and frankly I never tire of recommending it, it is a place with very good rich and delicious food, especially its chilaquiles, you want a typical and tasty breakfast, this is the place

Super tasty food!!! The cheese from my enchiladas was so delicious and fresh!!! The cecina was fresh and very good as well. Some of their plates come with all-you-can-eat enchiladas and they also have a buffet style set up if you don’t want to order a la carte. Portions are big!!! Very good experience over all!!! I would defiantly come back next time I travel to Monterrey!
